Talk about a rumor taking on a life of its OWN.
Sites are now speculating that Sarah Ferguson, the scandalized Duchess of York, might wind up with her own talk show on the new Oprah Winfrey Network.
What brought on the buzz?
Well, as PopEater explains, when Fergie sat down with Oprah last week to tape an emotional interview about her most recent scandal (selling access to her ex-husband, Prince Edward), “the real news happened off camera.”
“Sarah is looking at several job opportunities,” a “source” close to Ferguson tells the site. But the “most exciting” option at the moment “is getting her own talk show on the newly formed Oprah Network.”
As the PopEater source explains, “That’s why Sarah went on the Oprah show first.”
Actually, maybe she went on Oprah’s show first because almost everyone tries to go on Oprah’s show first.
Gossip Cop looked into the rumors, and they seem to be nothing more than that.
A rep for the network tells us, “There are no discussions for an OWN show featuring Sarah Ferguson.”
